Website for the Study of Emotions in Antiquity – http://ancientemotions.upatras.gr/
In collaboration with the Department of Philology at the University of Crete, the Department of Philology at the University of Patras has organised, since 2015, a series of regular international conferences devoted to the study of emotions in the ancient world.
The initiative now has its own website, where visitors can find information on published edited volumes, detailed programmes of the conferences, and news concerning current research on emotions in antiquity.
Among the project’s future aims are to develop the website into a permanent resource hosting a systematic bibliography on emotions; to include recorded lectures by invited speakers; to serve as a forum for collaboration with corresponding research groups at universities abroad; and, above all, to foster interdisciplinary dialogue with other fields, ranging from medicine and biology to psychology and architecture.
